Best posts of the week, month, year...

Upgrading to 2.3 caused me to lose one of my forum's best loved functions, and my users are going nutz having it gone...

The ability for users to view a list of the best posts over X period of time.

We created a separate page for this where all the best posts had their own little repository.

Please don't confuse this with "featured threads" or "best threads" -- this function exposed singular posts, many buried deep in threads that are 1000s of posts long.

InfoTo... - Inform other users quickly and easily about a post.

Idea for this add-on:

If someone has read a post and would like others to become aware of it - without others knowing about it. This leaves only a few time-consuming options, e.g. starting a PN.

With this add-on it is easy: type in the username and send. The user(s) receive an alert.
It serves to provide simple and quick information to others.

On kicking bots out, the page the bots then visit is a low Kb page which makes use of the global cache (low query)

Upload attachments to posts

When Registered user group has not "View attachments to posts" permission, user can not Upload attachment. this is logical when your forums is free,
but when user uploaded & want to see their own attachments, this is a big problem.

if possible, please, add this options:
User upgraded account & uploaded attachments. after acc upgrade expired, ability to see thei own attachments.

pro - cons fields

Hi everyone, I'm gradually progressing my project and I need to create separate text boxes at the end of the thread with the relative PROS and CONS of the thread in question. I went to fields, created a simple text box and everything is fine here. However, I would need the result to come out with a fa fa icon (like thumbs up) or even a green custom box perhaps) is this possible? does anyone know how to do it?

Cannot customize forum permissions

Hello, I am currently testing the demo to convince myself to buy and switch to another software and I have to say that I have noticed a bug that makes the whole thing difficult.

Convert a text box to drop down custom field

I've gotten the MySQL query to update the varbinary in order to change the field type to appear that the new values will appear in the drop down on the database table (it'll show the new field id name in phpMyAdmin and have the underlying varbinary on edit).

However, even if I enter all of the values that the text boxes had as options in the newly created drop-down in the ACP, they won't appear. They wouldn't even appear prior to that either.

There has to be a way to convert and restore...

Mirrored media gallery and permissions

We have a mirrored gallery for our photo sharing section, which is wonderful and works well.

However, some members are uploading images directly into it, manually, which is not what we want. That's what personal albums are for.

So yesterday I changed permissions for the mirrored gallery to prevent people adding pics to it. However, what I didn't expect to happen (since the gallery is mirrored and people aren't adding the pics themselves) is that now every pic posted on the board needs...

Single Sign On (Connect XF with XF, WordPress, etc)

It would be really awesome if we would be able to connect multiple XF installs. Or a XF install with Wordpress, Magento, MediaWiki, etc.
Members would be able to use multiple sites and scripts with the same login or while they keep being logged in.

XF 2.1 has a REST API. Please extend this to OAuth (Open Authentication)

An admin user with no admin permissions will still see stuff in the AdminCP
