403 Forbidden Error

For the last two months, a small percentage of my users are reporting a 403 forbidden error.

I am on Litespeed, running v2.3.3 with all add-ons updated.

I asked my host to check but they came back with a negative. Mod security is turned off.

The only thing I can found is the IP address of these users are blacklisted by spamhaus - those who emailed me, I checked their IP for blacklist.

Other than that, I do not know what else could be the reason.

Any pointers on where I should look to...

Hello. I recently started a special interest forum on MyBB. It's become a bit more successful than I thought. It's a very nice took but being free, I'm hoping for a platform that's a bit more slick and modern with better support options. Templates for addons all time reset of previous version

For a long time i have one very weird problem.

I making addons for internal purpose. Addons have templates. Sometime change very urgent, so i edit addon template manually on production, and then update addon on production with more changes for edited template.
And very ofter xenforo itself revert version of template to previous version. On history of changes i see new version of template come from addon upgrade, and right after that in history i see manually change template content to...

Widget carousel media bug ? Or not...

Hello,

How many photos minimum is needed in a category for the widget to be set to random images?

Because I have a widget set to random image and there are 11 photos in the category, and the widget should display 6 but most of the time it shows only one, two, three, sometimes 4 but never all 6. It even happens that it does not display any photos and there it completely disappears from its location. With a setting on recent images no problem.

Return of banned users - how reliable is a v6 IP-address as a criteria?

I do not have many bans in my forum, just the usual troll a couple of times a year. Today, a new user registered and the spam protection went alert, telling me that the IP of this user would be identical to a troll I banned last year. It is an IP v6 address for the matter. Typically we have private users with dynamic IP adressess (v4) but there are some that log in from their workplace regularly. Best posts of the week, month, year...

Upgrading to 2.3 caused me to lose one of my forum's best loved functions, and my users are going nutz having it gone...

The ability for users to view a list of the best posts over X period of time.

We created a separate page for this where all the best posts had their own little repository.

Please don't confuse this with "featured threads" or "best threads" -- this function exposed singular posts, many buried deep in threads that are 1000s of posts long.

InfoTo... - Inform other users quickly and easily about a post.

Idea for this add-on:

If someone has read a post and would like others to become aware of it - without others knowing about it. This leaves only a few time-consuming options, e.g. starting a PN.

With this add-on it is easy: type in the username and send. The user(s) receive an alert.
It serves to provide simple and quick information to others.
