Can I call template contents from a controller?

I'm trying to auto-create a new thread when I add a new entity in my add-on. However, I can't use a phrase for the thread message because some variables may not exist so I need to be able to use <xf:if /> code. So, I was thinking how about using a template, such as something like this:

Which SMTP provider do you use to send transactional emails?

I'm curious to hear what the best SMTP server providers are for things like forgotten password emails etc. I've used Amazon SES before, but I don't want to create an AWS account to send some emails. Are there any other SMTP server providers who are reasonably cheap and can handle increasing traffic over time?

Help making x (formerly known as twitter) vids play on my forums

when a link is posted to an x video the x.com shows up and when you click that you see the video. I would prefer the video to embed as my members have told me other sites get x vids to embed. I cannot find the trick of how to do this. Willing to pay for assistance.

How to View Node and Thread Titles only

I have a forum where I created a subforum that allows heated, controversial topics, but it's only accessible to a specific user group with set permissions. Registered users can see the node but nothing else. It's also hidden from search engines. I would like to take this a step further and allow registered users to see the thread titles but not the content—essentially making the thread titles non-clickable. How can I achieve this?

I'm writing a PHP script for uploading images using an API for a plugin (not my own).
I noticed that the uploaded images in this plugin have the following parameters in the database:

content_type = "plugin name"
content_id = "plugin-specific id"

Is there a way to enable a disabled event handler on-fly ?

I am writing a test case, and mocking the http client() request using the http_client_options event listener.
But I do not want that event listener always enabled.

Is there a way to keep it off, and turn it on programmatically?

Error: Call to a member function getProperty() on null in src/XF/Template/Templater.php

Hello everyone. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

It happens when using a specific add-on (RealTimeChat), but the developer said is probably not related to the plugin, but to the system.
Our forum has latest verion 2.2.9, almost all is clean/default, all other plugins disabled, default style.
I have also tried to re-install xenforo update, and create new style. It doesn't help.

ES 2.3.2 Auto Complete crashes when dynamic avatar disabled

I have XF 2.3.2, XFES 2.3.2, ES 7.17.18
Enabled search option,
Deleted and rebuild search index.
Yet, when searching, it does not auto complete.
Disabled all addons and issue still persists.
Here is the error log which leads me to this post.
Enable dynamic avatars option and the auto completion feature works.

Errors in the rules for transliteration of Cyrillic

Hello. After the update, I started receiving notifications about changes to links on the forum. Further investigation showed that the rules for transliteration of Cyrillic in URLs (SEO-friendly URLs) got broken.

How do you manage cryptopayments on your forum?

As title said, people more often than not request to pay with crypto nowadays, even with prices falling and relative market instability. Did you manage to find a cryptopayment gateway and use it with Xenforo?

Moderated users bypass email confirmation

This isn't a bug in terms of malfunctioning code as it's been specifically programmed to do this, but I'm not sure I agree with the behaviour.

Had a client ask about requiring email confirmation before being added to the approval queue. I tested and found that for most registrations, this happens already.

If a user gets queued for approval for spam though, they bypass this step completely. I'm not sure this is necessarily how people will actually realise this works.
