Notices Page Critera: Page information (For Display image)

Now that 2.3 has style variations, there should be a new Notice Page Critera > Page information setting for setting the notice on light or dark in addition to the style.

Essentially, you would have to create 2 notices, one for dark and one for light. Though, this could increase queries (?).

You can see how this is problematic if you have an icon set designed for dark mode on light mode.

Errors filling logs

Having the same error logged multiple times per minute, depending on how many users are online. This is from an addon that was written by our former webmaster, who is out of the picture now.

Email errors I could use some assistance with. No email is being sent.

We are using the forums internally (intranet) running on a Windows server/ AD Domain. Unfortunately, I don't have access any servers outside of the one XenForo in running on. I can however have the infrastructure team update/or correct the issue if I know where to make the change. I'm fine with using anyone option SMTP/PHP.

I have an OS cron job that takes a backup of my XF database every day. This has worked flawlessly from the beginning.

However, today the cron job ran into an error which has made me concerned:

This seems to imply that the table definition was changed while the backup was running. I believe this could be caused by either an "ALTER TABLE" or a "TRUNCATE" SQL...

Use WHM/cPanel chkserv with elasticsearch

Anyone using WHM/cPanel can use the chkserv monitoring service for detecting if elasticsearch is not running and restarting it for you. Here is how I do it. I'm using AlmaLinux 8 and Elasticsearch v8.16. Probably the same for Rocky Linux too.

After you install or upgrade elasticsearch, make sure it is enabled as a service. This makes sure elasticsearch will start anytime you manually reboot your server.

sudo systemctl enable elasticsearch.service
