Change e-mail Sender from default Board title to new value

My Board title is pretty long that it gets cut off in emails on most viewports.

I'd like to change it to an acronym for what appears as the sender for emails instead of the full-length board title.

Is this possible with a template edit of some sort? I have never touched the email templates to know.

Forum doesnt send out emails

Hi.
I have tried everything, and I mean everything, but I can't get my forum to send emails. I want to pay somebody to fix it, where can I find paid help for Xforo?

Addon upgrade - column can't have a default value

During an addon upgrade, trying to action a changeColumn() but getting a response of;
"MySQL statement prepare error [1101]: BLOB, TEXT, GEOMETRY or JSON column can't have a default value"

$table->changeColumn('xxx', 'mediumtext');

How would I correct this? I couldn't find a ->removeDefault() type of action.

How do I add a line break after a certain amount of custom reactions are displayed?

I have a lot of custom reactions and they go all the way across the page when opened. I thought I saw on another XF forum where there was a line break in the reactions so it's easier to view, but I can't recall which one.

My main issue is when you try to mouse over a reaction on the far side, it's difficult unless you keep it perfectly centered. Otherwise, the reaction bar closes! Thanks!

Anything similar to WP Custom Taxonomies?

I wonder if there's a functionality either core or by add-ons to have custom taxonomy.
For example, instead of having general "tags" that can be anything you have a "dogs" taxonomy which terms are for example: Labrador, Chihuahua, Shih Tzu... etc
From what I see XF could get close to that with custom fields except that I'd need to list every term (dog breed) myself. You might think well do that, but imagine is not dogs but things that can have thousands of options, I can't sit there typing...

Where can I learn about Template Macros

I can edit and transform the previous XF html templates and css into exactly what I want but in v2 the basic html templates have have been "pollutted" with things called "Macros" and seems to double up the template to me. These Macros seem to interfere in using basic html when I look at a template which puts "me" right off trying to do anything as I just get so confused. So, where can I go to learn what the XF Macros in the templates do and how to use them without all the developer jargon...

is-sticky class behaviour

Hi!

In XF 2.2 the is-sticky class behaviour was working fine. Well, in XF 2.3. it is also working fine, but there is something different.

If I want to have navigation at the same distance from the top as it is when the page is loaded (when not sticky), the is-sticky class is not applied.

Example:

I added this code:
Less:

    top: 40px;
}


In XF 2.2 the sticky navigation would be 40px from the top edge and the is-sticky class is applied like this...

How to re-order thread type selection (default to Questions)?

When you create a "Question" forum, you cannot allow other thread types (Discussions, Articles, Polls).

When you create a "DIscussion" forum, you can allow "Question" thread types, but cannot re-order them (to make them the default option).

possible to disable/uninstall an addon indirectly?

hello,
ok so heres the deal, i was testing some 2.2 addons that could possible be compatible with 2.3 even tho not stated...
ozzys tabbed addon list broke the addon page so there is no display of any addons and i cant disable, uninstall etc....

i disabled template mods and listeners but nothing.....
i deleted the files for the addon, like maybe that can get the list back at least. that made things worse, but that was on a separate test stage so whatever....

confused how that didnt work...
