Enhanced Search is worth to buy?

I was going to buy enhanced / elastic search, but I have a few questions,

1 - How does enhanced / elastic search work on the forum?
2 - What this will improve the forum for something?
3 - Does this support on MariaDB and Apache + Nginx configuration server?
