Automatic Watch on Resource Download

I've noticed that when a user downloads a resource, they aren't automatically set to watch it. This feature seems essential to ensure users stay updated with any changes or updates to the resources they've downloaded.

Is there a setting to enable automatic watching upon resource download? It really seems like this should be the default behavior.
