Allow adding a gif as a XFMG thumbnail

When uploading media to the media gallery we can choose to add a thumbnail of our own.
The thumbnail is always a jpg file.
When we use the XFMG slider widget for videos, it would be so helpful if we could add a gif as the thumbnail, so it could give a glimpse of what the video is about.
