Importing from discourse

Alright so I've installed and setup XenForo installed the importers add on and uploaded a backup download of my discourse install and typed that into the importer however it needs PostgreSQL information which I don't know where to find/provide.

What else needs done here or how would I find the information for the importer?

Unable to upload images to profile post comments

I am using the standard framework and I can upload images elsewhere e.g. direct messages and in the forums but if uploading it to a profile post comment I get an error.

Nothing appears in the server error log. IMG_1122.webp

This is the image I wanted to upload but the same error happens, it starts to upload then cancels with an oops error message and the image is removed from the message.

Hi,

I recently moved from Invision board to Xenforo.

Invision had a build-in award system, and it was customizable.

An example is a user that helps other others, so the mods could reward a "Willing to help" award to the user.

I did find this addon: https://www.addonflare.com/xenforo-2-addons/xf2-awards-system.12/ but it seems that the developer has disappeared and the addon is ambandoned.

Maybe this is somehow possible with the native Xenforo functionality?

Conditional to check if widget exists?

I occasionally will place a widget manually inside a template for a custom position. Problem is if that widget gets deleted/renamed it can cause the page not to load and throw a server error.

Is there a conditional to check if a widget exists based on the name?

Passkey from MacBook doesn't allow device biometrics

I can log in using Face ID fine when a passkey is set up in iCloud however if I try to use the same passkey or use 2FA I have to scan a QR code with my phone rather than use the device biometrics. This is a fingerprint scanner.

Any ideas about how to make the process more connected and seamless like for other SSO?

Links to resources in threads do not unfurl

When linking to a resource from within a thread by copying the link to the ressource into the posting this link does not get unfurled but is a text link only.
This makes the link less attractive. Generally XF does unfurl links (interal and external ones), so it is less an XF bug as a RM bug. As in general links are unfurled within XF it makes no sense that those to RM are not.

Affected version: XF 2.2.16 with RM, did not test this on 2.3

I recently switched to phpstorm v2024.3 for first time. This is a great and very pro IDE.

I need your suggestions to make it work as more productive with xF2 development.

For example: initially I added to File > New Projects Setup > Settings for New Projects > Languages and Frameworks > PHP > Include path > I added c:/xampp/htdocs/{myxf2devboard}/src.

Option to pin ressources / sticky resources

With forum threads there is the option to pin them and this way to create sticky theads, that are always on top and prominently visible within a forum and there are good reasons for that. For resources the reasons for wanting to pin one or more of tham are basically the same - but there is no option in RM to pin ressources.

I would like to have the option to pin / make sticky resources within a given resource category. Straight simple.
