There was another suggestion from 2 years ago that was closed for lack of interest, included below for reference.

Now that all browsers and OS's have implemented AVIF support, and both Google and Apple have thrown their weight behind it, it should be considered for XenForo. Site loading times and performance would be improved, especially for styles that use JPEG or PNG backgrounds.

Best practices in using XF::finder

This is a bit of a generic ask, but my add-on stores associated records to a user by user_id. When surfacing up information, is it proper to use $finder = \XF::finder('XF:User'); $user = $finder->where('user_id', 1)->fetchOne(); within a foreach loop to get the associated user's information?

If each finder for each user translates to a select * from xf_user table, that seems like a really expensive design / will hammer the database...

Is there an easy way to prevent creating separate memberships on two different websites using the user table of only one of them?
Everything else can be separate, but when a membership is opened on one site, the same information should be added to the other site's database. Is this possible?

My use case is that I'm creating a new server from a snapshot of my current server to test other apps/sites that are running on the server. My forum emails are sent via Amazon SES SMTP and I'm concerned that the test server will be sending out duplicate emails.
