Just wanted to say good to be back and I love Xenforo and the community

Normally I don't type posts like this but in this case I do :D

To keep it short, addiction caught up to me for a few years wasting so much time and leaving so many projects half build which I feel in my heart will be successful if I just stay focused.

How to Change Default Style From Database

Hello,


As a result of an incomplete/wrong update to my parent theme, the site got broken, and can not install styles, add/remove addons, select autoreloadable functions, and everything else. On my staging site, I was able to set it back to the default theme and reupload the dimension style to have it all fixed again. But there's no way to set the live site to the default style as ticking the default style box never gets saved!


Can I temporarily set my forum default style to Xenforo's...

admin.php blank page

Hi..

I can log in and browse the main page of my site, but when I go to admin.php and enter the user/pass, I get a blank page!!

I tried different browsers and excluded the domain from Ghostery/disconnect/Malwarebytes..etc, and also deleted the cache/cookies.. but still

I use Edge/Maxthon/Chrome
XF 2.3.3
Windows 11

Display style
Simple
A simple view, designed for narrow spaces such as sidebars.
Standard
A full size view, displaying as a standard content list.
Carousel
A carousel view, displaying the content in a slider. This display is not designed for sidebar positions.

If I choose Standard or Carousel there is no title to the widget just a box of posts. Only simple has a title.

Google clicks with different numbers of shown posts?

There is an add-on that allows all pages of a thread to be packed into the page list; so I assume that normally only the first page is listed?

Is it relevant for Google whether we have a thread with 20 posts on one page or 400 posts spread across 20 pages?

If that doesn’t have a significant impact, I might consider always displaying only the first page, with a maximum of 20 posts.

Avatars missing after migration from phpBB

I successfully migrated a phpBB 3.3.13 forum with 150,000 posts, almost 8,000 topics, and more than 160,000 attachments.

The migration was successful, but I have a few bugs to resolve. The first issue involves user avatars. In phpBB, avatars are referenced at the database level. It's like a reference ID. The issue is that while all the image files have been successfully migrated, the vast majority of users don't have their avatars displayed.

I think Xenforo need this option

When you add or edit a custom BBCode, you will be able to set permissions for:

Forums it can be used in.
Forums it can't be used in.
Groups it can be used by.
Groups it can't be used by.
Groups that it can be viewed by.
Separate replacement for groups that cannot view it.

If the user must be a moderator to use it.
If the user must moderate the forum they are posting it in to use it.
If the user must be an administrator.

Hi everyone, if I create a discussion with links in them they will turn blue. if I go to style->base color properties->base colors-->link color-->I put blue does it change every valid link in the forum (even on the homepage) how do I set the blue color of the links only within the posts? threads ? My forum has been online for 2-1/2 years. It's been very steady until recently. Recently, I've seen an uptick in posts. Mind you, my forum is still "very small potatoes" in the forum world.
